My declared major in the 70's - was nuclear science.
Then Three Mile Island happened - and I saw the handwriting on the wall.
I skipped to EE even though I had zero interest in it. I did get my degree, but I really NEVER liked the program.
In retrospect -
I really have no idea what I should have done in lieu of the fact that my chosen career had been hijacked. Probably computer science, although back then, it was still just a new thing.
